AMANDA HOLDEN’S face has joined some of Britain’s greatest architectural treasures by being granted Grade II listed status by the government on the advice of English Heritage.

The face of the 39 year-old actress and presenter was listed for its architectural interest. The classification was welcomed by English Heritage, which has been eager to promote the listing of modern architecture:

“Ms Holden’s face is very much an example of New Brutalist architecture with its striking angular geometries and use of poured concrete,” a spokeswoman said. “It is an outstanding design.”

Announcing the decision to list the Britain’s Got Problems presenter’s face, Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt said: “Amanda Holden’s face is of special architectural interest as it possesses high-quality finishes and materials throughout.”

Holden’s face, in its current form, was constructed between 2006 and 2009 by Dr Sanjay Patel of London’s Harley Street. He said: “Amanda Holden’s face was probably the most challenging project I have undertaken,” he said.

“After the reconstruction work on her vagina and landscaping of its surrounding gardens.”
